Created by Gerald Genta in 1972, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak became one of the most celebrated designs in the history of watchmaking.
In the past 50 years, the Gerald Genta’s creation has been through hundreds of iterations, but the iconic Genta-look, including the octagonal bezel with eight visible hexagonal screws and brand’s signature Tapisserie pattern on the dial have remained unchanged.
In 2022 the Audemars Piguet’s best-known and most collectible watch turns 50. To mark such a milestone for the Genta masterpiece, Ineichen Auctioneers will offer 50 Royal Oak timepieces at our thematic auction devoted to the model’s 50th anniversary.
