Reasons to bid

The Toric, originally Torus, is one of the pillars of the Parmigiani Fleurier collection, whose classic basic design was launched when the brand was founded. This design has a particular museum-like feel that has been cultivated in the collection thanks to the efforts of Michel Parmigiani, the company’s founder. His background as a restorer brought a collector’s approach to the design of the brand’s watches, which played an important role in shaping the collection. The museum spirit inherent in the Toric Chronograph is evident in the design of this watch in the ribbed decoration of the bezel and the rim of the caseback. Thus, the multi-level architecture of the case creates a symmetrical profile when viewed from the side, while from the front, the stepped shape of the bezel is emphasized by two rings with finely crafted ribs in between. In the early Toric chronographs, the brand used third-party movements, and in this watch we find the respectable Zenith El Primero self-winding high-frequency chronograph movement in one of the best executions this caliber has ever had.
