Reasons to bid

The Royal Oak Day Date Ref. 25572SA is a very attractive two-tone (stainless steel and yellow gold) version of the classic steel reference Ref. 25572ST. This model was nicknamed the ‘Owl’ because of the two horizontally arranged sub-dials for the date and the day of the week. The 36 mm case of the Ref. 25572 is smaller than the original Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’, making it a smaller, more practical alternative equipped with a double calendar display. This reference is overshadowed by the Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’, but deserves the interest of collectors as it is rarer and has additional complications. Several variants were produced during the production period. This example has a silvered Mk1 Type1 dial with a small tapisserie relief pattern and a ‘small logo’ Type2.
