Reasons to bid

Royal Oak Day Date Moonphase Ref. 25594BA, with double calendar and moon phase, is a forerunner of the more complex perpetual calendar. The 36 mm case of the Ref. 25594 is smaller than that of the original Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’, making it a practical alternative with a complex dial. This reference stands in the shadow of the Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’, but deserves the interest of collectors as it is rarer and has an additional calendar complication. There were several variants of this reference during the production period. This watch has a ‘champagne’ Mk2 dial with a small tapisserie relief pattern, a new logo, applied yellow gold baguette hour markers and ‘fat’ baguette hands. The light patina that can be seen on the dial creates an interesting color gradient effect (‘fume’).
