Reasons to Bid

This Patek Philippe Worldtimer wall clock in gold-plated brass comes from a series produced around the year 2000 to advertise the launch of the Patek Philippe World Time Ref. 5110 wristwatch. The dial of the wall clock is based on the design of the Ref. 5110, right down to the hands and the font in which the numerals and city names are printed. This wall clock was reportedly distributed as a display piece to major Patek Philippe retail partners to support the launch of the Ref. 5110. The wall clock is battery-powered and features an ingenious concentric 24-hour ring design similar to the one proposed to Patek Philippe by the inventor of this complication, Louis Cottier. It is therefore an extremely rare wall clock that offers a truly functional world time display. A perfect opportunity for all Patek Philippe enthusiasts to acquire a historically significant wall clock from the legendary brand.
