Lot Essay

The unique Behrens x Konstantin Chaykin Kremlin Edition is the first and only working pre-series prototype of the brand-new collection, unveiled by the two independent partners in July 2025. Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin and the Chinese haute horlogerie brand BEHRENS once again joined forces to create a model with an instantly recognizable design.

The Wristmon comes in a 42 mm case crafted from textured grey-black carbon fiber composite with red spots. In this joint project, Chaykin drew inspiration from the features of his signature Joker, while Behrens turned to an object of traditional Chinese material culture – the hand mill shi mo.

For this model, Behrens watchmakers developed a special indication module “inspired by” Konstantin Chaykin’s joker-indication, adding a wandering “loony” seconds hand. The hand, tipped with a spade-shaped pointer, moves smoothly along its trajectory, bringing the Wristmon’s “face” to life with a bold and mischievous expression.
