A New Star Ascends in the Firmament of the Wristmon Universe.

“Venus” is the symbolic image of Venus, translated into the language of the signature Joker indication.

The concept for such a watch was born in Konstantin Chaykin's mind back in 2018, shortly after the appearance of the very first "Joker" – the progenitor of the iconic anthropomorphic Wristmon collection. At that time, the master conceived the "Matryoshka" model, where the central theme was to be a female character, and the key detail – the patented spherical moon phase indicator. However, this concept was never realized, remaining with the master as sketches.

In June 2023, revisiting his archival sketches, Konstantin Chaykin returned to the idea, seeing its unrealized potential. Preserving the moon phase indication as the key element of the watch's architecture, he changed the main heroine: the starting point of inspiration became Venus, revered in Roman mythology as the goddess of love, fertility, and prosperity. Thus began work on the "Venus" wristmon. The appearance of this watch primarily evokes associations with Sandro Botticelli's famous painting "The Birth of Venus." The painting's narrative tells of the goddess emerging from sea foam, capturing the moment when the abstract idea of beauty takes form. Thanks to the expressiveness of the silhouette, the nude figure never attains corporeality, transforming into the source of pristine beauty.

A Dial as a Pictorial Masterpiece

The "Venus" dial is noticeably different from most other Konstantin Chaykin wristmons. Executed in a minimalist key, its emotional impact is only heightened. In the master's interpretation, Venus literally becomes moon-faced. The moon phase indicator turns into a face, rendered with a few strokes in the spirit of Pablo Picasso. The two-colored indicators traditionally display the time: hours are read on the left, minutes on the right. The feminine silhouette fills the entire space of the dial, coated in a warm orange-pink lacquer. The background of the moon disc is executed in the same tone, while the lunar shadow is dark blue. The goddess's visage is applied to the inside of the sapphire crystal. The hair is "drawn" with a wavy, outwardly radiating relief guilloché pattern. The finishing detail is the manufacture's logo, transforming into a pendant on the neck.

The Pure Lines of the Moon-Faced Venus Silhouette

The case construction of the "Venus" watch differs from classic wristmons. The smooth, narrow bezel immediately catches the eye. This solution is dictated by ergonomics: to preserve easy dial legibility and the proportions of the figure, it was made more elegant, abandoning the customary relief. The Joker indication module has also been completely redesigned. The moon phase indicator, which in other wristmons plays the role of a smile, here becomes the face of Venus; therefore, the disc is made larger and completes a full rotation in 29.5 days instead of the usual 59.

Another noticeable departure from the traditional wristmon design is the absence of a second correcting crown: in "Venus," only one crown remains at the "3 o'clock" position, supporting the integrity of the feminine silhouette on the dial.

The automatic caliber K.18-25 powering the "Venus" watch utilizes a modified G200 movement from the Swiss manufacture La Joux-Perret – chosen for its stability, reliable balance construction, and solid 68-hour power reserve. Built upon it is the Joker indication module, fully developed by the Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture and executed to the standards of high horology.
